Miracle at Coffeeville.

Miracle at Coffeeville and Other Legends of Christmas. Darrell Case, Published by Create Space. 7 Chapters  84 pages $6.95 Amazon and other outlets.
Over the years Darrell has written seven gripping stories about Christmas and now he has put them into this new book especially for the Christmas season. Larry and I usually don’t get overly excited about syrupy stories. Miracle is NOT syrupy Christmas stories, but about real life events around that time of year. In all stories the intervention of the Lord is on display. From a crooked and mean spirited banker during the Great Depression in Coffeeville, a town more famous for bank robbers than robber bankers, God’s hand helps a struggling pastor and town to renewed faith.
Story titles are Miracle at Coffeeville, Christmas Mirror, Angel’s Dust, A Gathering of Angels, Snow Angels, Music of The Night and Apples of Gold. Each story requires a hanky as Darrell weaves you into the story as though you sitting or being insulted by one of the villains. Snow Angel’s will grip your heart as you watch as a child comes to grips with the death of her little brother right at Christmas. Each story is a great life lesson on its own and worth the price of the entire book.
Music in The Night is not about the phantom, but a beautiful account of the grace of Christ of a girl pianist with crippled fingers play music with a touch from God.

You will love this book and probably want to give it as a gift that will endure in the heart of all who read it. Joyce D. Lilly Tg.B

Coming in October Miracle at Coffeeville and other legends of Christmas.

If you are like me, you love the season of Christmas. The festive atmosphere, the tree, the gifts, the
feasting, the songs. People seem to be kinder to each other. Gathering with family and friends. However,
there is a danger. We can become so wrapped up in the celebration; we forget the true meaning of
Christmas. That Christ came to provide for us eternal life. That the babe in the manger was just a prelude
to The Savoir on the cross.
It is my hope this little book will help you recapture the joy of the season. May God bless you and may
you have a wonderful Christmas.
                                                                   Angel’s Dust
For postal worker Jeff Marlow Christmas is just another time to relive the heartache of losing his wife
and daughter. It all ends tonight. Then he finds a letter from a lonely little girl. She asks Santa Claus for
only one gift. Can Jeff overcome his pain and fulfill her wish?
                                                       A Gathering of Angels
Bessie’s life seems to consist of nothing more than existence. Stuck in a nursing home Christmas has
lost its meaning. Bitter, resentful she takes it out on those trying to help. However, God isn’t through with
Bessie. He shows her the meaning of love thy neighbor.
                                                     The Christmas mirror
Steven and Mandy have a matchless love. They fell in love in kindergarten. As husband and wife, their
love for each other has grown deeper. She promises to spend each Christmas Eve with him. Yet a few
days before Christmas Mandy is taken ill and dies. Can the love she has for Steven transcend even death?
Will her love shine through the Christmas mirror?
                                                     Miracle at Coffeeville
The people of Coffeeville are barely surviving the great depression. When it seems nothing worse can
happen Samuel Owens takes over the bank. His hostility and resentment causes him to oppress the
destitute. He unmercifully forecloses on their farms and businesses. He has an alternative. Come to work
for him at starvation wages. The people of Coffeeville pray for a miracle. Will God answer in time? How
can He change the heart of one so wrapped up in hatred?
                                                            Snow angels
Abigail loves her little brother ‘Buddy’. Yet sometimes he is an irritation. When he accidentally dies,
she blames herself. Believing Christ can raise him from the dead, she risks her life in a blizzard. Her
father and the men of their church search for her. Will they find her in time or will there be two caskets to
bury?
                                                 Music of the night
Music is Ruth’s life. When arthritis destroys her gift, she applies a job as a janitor. Now she is
cleaning the very theater where she performed. Hiding in the shadows, she waits until the others leave.
                                                   Apples of Gold
Denver and Anna have a secret. For years, they have lived in a small cabin in the woods. On Christmas
Eve, they will reveal their secret to my wife and I. What they tell us changes our lives and the lives of
others. Tonight we find out we really didn’t know them at all. Soon we discover how much God truly
loves us.
